Today in Tech: Amazon launches e-book library for Prime users

* Amazon (AMZN) is launching an e-book library today exclusively for Kindle and Kindle Fire users who are also Amazon Prime subscribers. Initially, the e-commerce giant will offer just 5,000 or so titles -- none of them from the six big publishing houses will. Each user will also only be able to borrow one title at a time per month. Yahoo launched Livestand.
* Yahoo (YHOO) released its Flipboard competitor, Livestand, which the company says "weaves together" content from the company's media network and 100 third-party publishers.(Yahoo Advertising)
* Bluetooth headset and speaker-maker Jawbone will release its latest stylish device, UP, on November 6. The health-minded wristband will track daily activities like how much and how fast users walk, calories burned, how many hours slept -- and even the quality of that sleep. (Fortune)
