Eddy Cue is now Senior VP of Internet Software and Services.

* According to 9to5Mac, Apple (AAPL) iTunes chief Eddy Cue was promoted to Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services. Cue will report directly to Apple CEO Tim Cook and will oversee all of the company's cloud services, from iTunes and the App Store to the impending iCloud. (9to5Mac)

* A neighbor of Steve Jobs offers a glimpse into his private life. (Fortune)

* Another Apple employee reportedly lost an iPhone prototype, and the company is keen to get back. According to a CNN report, the employee left it at a Mexican restaurant and bar, and the unit may have been sold via Craigslist for a reasonable $200. (CNN)

* IBM (IBM) is buying risk analytics company Algorithmics for $387 million. The move comes just a month after HP agreed to snatch up Autonomy, another data analysis company, for $11.7 billion. (The New York Times/DealBook)

* After booking 3,000 monthly rentals, Airbnb is ready to expand its bookings into the (somewhat) longer term. Reservations for a month or longer will now show the total monthly price in your search results. (All Things D)
