"In a year, we've gone from very small to ... very small." -- Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, on Windows Phone 7's market share (PC World)

* Cisco could cut as many as 10,000 jobs, or roughly 14% of its overall workforce, to keep profits up: 7,000 jobs would go by the end of August, with another 3,000 staffers receiving early-retirement packages for accepting buyout offers. (Bloomberg Businessweek)

* Google's social network, Google +, could pass 10 million users tomorrow, a 30% jump compared with last week. (Remember: it's still less than a month old.) (Paul Allen / Google)

* Reuters reports that Apple chief patent counsel Richard "Chip" Lutton Junior is leaving the company for unspecified reasons. Former deputy general counsel BJ Watrous is now listed on LinkedIn as having the job. (Reuters)

* Foursquare plans to "remarket" daily coupon deals from companies like LivingSocial, Gilt Groupe, and AT&T, an arrangement which will give the location-focused social network a revenue stream. (Wall Street Journal)

* Mashable reports that music streaming service Spotify could launch in the U.S. some time this week, initially as invite-only. Recently, Spotify closed a $100 million round of funding. (Mashable)

* Remember Color, the photo-sharing site that rolled out some three months ago with $41 million in funding? After losing co-founder Peter Pham just a month ago, TechCrunch reports another high-ranking staffer, Chief Product Officer DJ Patil, is leaving, too. Patil, formerly LinkedIn's chief scientist, will now only serve as a company advisor. (TechCrunch)
