It has to really be news, it is right there in the name of the company!
News (NWS) Corp's AllThingsD today broke the story that News Corp.'s tablet daily newspaper, called the Daily, would be hitting Google's (GOOG) Android tablets this Spring.
Before you Android fans go out dancing in the streets however, keep in mind that the Daily missed its internal mark (also reported by News Corp) on the iPad by a MORE

Here's a great little video which shows the phenomenal rate of increase in Android activations.
At last count, Google (GOOG) was activating 300,000 devices per day. It is hard to imagine Android has grown in just about two and a half years. This video, put out by the official Android developers YouTube account, certainly helps.

CUPERTINO, Calif.--Annual shareholders meetings are designed to be yawnfests. Bylaws require a meeting, so companies work hard to comply with the letter of the law--and little more. Apple (AAPL), such a master at jazzing up events to release new products, ably jazzes down its annual meeting.

Steve Jobs skipped the meeting. COO Tim Cook -- his heir apparent -- presided.

Apple's (AAPL) shareholder meeting got off to a slow start as latecomers filled the company's Town Hall auditorium nearly to capacity.
CNBC's Jon Fortt reported shortly after 1:00 p.m. EST that COO Tim Cook, not Steve Jobs, had taken the stage and was introducing the board of directors.
The most controversial shareholder proposal -- that Apple adopt MORE
