Saying "words cannot describe how I feel for this device," Oprah Winfrey on Monday gave each of her 275 studio audience members an Apple (AAPL) iPad.
It was the No. 1 item in the final "favorite thing" give-away segment in Oprah's final season.
The retiring talk-show host said the iPad was her all-time favorite, MORE

This has been an exciting week for the street view cars, which can't seem to keep themselves out of trouble.
From Gizmodo [update: this image has been confirmed as a hoax], a baby's birth on the sidewalk caught by a streetview car (hopefully the driver was nice enough to call/stop for help) in Wilmersdorf, Germany:

DigiTimes, the Taipei-based daily that covers the Far Eastern electronics markets like the Sporting News covers baseball, reported Tuesday that Apple (AAPL) has stepped up production of the iPad in China.
The item is unsourced and like all supply-chain reporting should be treated as a rumor. But according to unnamed "sources from upstream MORE

The deal would bring more premium content to YouTube as the company stuggles to get content on its GoogleTV.
The NYPost is reporting this morning that Google (GOOG) is in a battle with Netflix to obtain the rights to the Miramax digital catalog. Disney is in the latter stages of finalizing a sale of Miramax to Filmyard, run by Hollywood entrepreneur Ron Tutor and construction magnate Tom Barr. Filmyard isn't wasting any MORE

Needham's Charlie Wolf found lots of good news for Apple (AAPL) in IDC's report on the state of the worldwide PC market for Q3 2010.
That's because his report to clients issued Tuesday never mentioned that the Mac's share of that market last quarter was only 4.36%.

The word on the street today (and last week) is that Google's ChromeOS is delayed, or rather that devices running the new web-based OS aren't due until 2011. Google went on record in May saying there would be "devices" later this "fall".
"We are working on bringing the device later this fall," said Google vice-president of product management Sundar Pichai at MORE
