Drag and drop images in Google Docs

October 20, 2010: 12:04 PM ET

One of the nice features of desktop word processing now is available in the Google Docs Cloud.

Announced last night and only working on Google (GOOG) Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers, Google Docs can now handle the easy dragging of a document from your desktop into the browser page.  Little updates like this start to blur the line between desktop and cloud computing and will make it easier for people to move into Google Chrome, Google's Browser-only OS which is due later this year.

The feature is available now to users in the US.
