Topping all estimates we've seen so far, Susquehanna Financial's Jeff Fidacaro issued a note to clients predicting that next weekend could be a "2 mln - 3 mln iPhone event" -- two to three times bigger than the launches of Apple's (AAPL) iPhone 3G and 3GS in 2008 MORE

Two big updates from Adobe are now ready for Android devices.
Last night, Adobe Blogger John Nack posted that Flash 10.1 Beta 3 is now available in the Android Market or from here if you are running Android 2.2 Froyo (which is likely only Nexus One users, a few other hackers out there, and maybe some Droid 2/x beta testers?).
Additionally, a new release of the Photoshop.com Mobile app just hit MORE

Projects a "modest" 3.5 million tablets in 2010, despite the 2 million iPads Apple has sold

Here's what I don't understand about the Forrester Research report that got so much press on Thursday -- besides the fact that it takes Microsoft's (MSFT) Steve Ballmer's side over Steve Jobs' on where the PC market is headed. (Jobs compared PCs to farm trucks; Ballmer called the iPad a MORE

The United Kingdom is consistently the largest source of internet traffic on Akamai's network for World Cup related goodies -- including live game feeds, downloads, scores and follow-up stories.
Whether England and the lads can muster themselves and make a real run at the World Cup remains to be seen, but if nothing else, the United Kingdom looks like a lock as champion when it comes to online MORE

Google updates Apps sharing capabilities to allow more, yet simplified sharing options.
As Microsoft unleashes its Office 2010 to consumers, Google continues its almost daily upgrades of its Apps suite. Today, a biggie for those who share their Docs inside and outside of their domain.
The settings are available from a link next to the doc name and look like the window (right).

AT&T announces the Samsung Galaxy Captivate.
Spyshot of Samsung Captivate from Androidguys.com
Until this week, AT&T's Android effort seemed a little, shall we say, paltry? They offered one poorly-rated Android 1.5 device called the Backflip. It seemed like they were the 'iPhone network'.
This week, things are starting to change.
On Monday, they launched the "pocket-rocket" Aria and today, they have themselves a full-on, hardcore Android device, the Samsung Galaxy Captivate.
Samsung, being the MORE

Verizon is saying that the Droid X has a '720P screen'. Oh my!
Update: WOW. Verizon just changed their ad to something entirely different. Poor form:
Verizon is teasing some of the new Droid X specs on its website today. The device is expected to be formally announced next week at a joint Verizon-Motorola-Adobe-Google event.
If the above isn't just really poor marketing bait and switch, the Droid X MORE

I got a lot of terrific responses to my column on reading Tuesday. The most interesting was from my old pal Phil Leigh, who runs a site called Inside Digital Media. If your business is on his topic or if you like to buy those kinds of stocks, you should pay Phil gobs of money and subscribe to his services. He's one smart cookie, a former stock broker and research MORE

Technical details are still scant, but Logitech has publicly hatched a name.
In a blogpost today, Logitech broke down the reasons it created a whole new brand for its GoogleTV appliance, rather than extending its popular Harmony brand of remotes or Squeezebox Internet radio players.
Logitech Revue does everything we're known for and more. So it couldn't just be the Harmony Box or Squeezebox TV or, even worse, the Logitech TV Hub MORE
