Incredible! Latest Droid drops $50

May 3, 2010: 4:51 PM ET

Not even a week after launch, Verizon's latest Droid, the HTC Incredible, drops $50 to $149 with activation at Amazon.

While Verizon stores were selling out of the $200 (w/ 2-year service plan) Droid Incredible, some smart shoppers were avoiding the lines and ordering the latest high end Android phone through Amazon, at a hefty discount.

In fact, Verizon (VZ) is currently back-ordered on the Incredible until May 14th so Amazon (AMZN) might be your only way of getting the Incredible this week.

The Incredible has been getting some solid reviews from technology blogs below:

The Incredible recieved a OTA update today which fixes a bug on Exchange-enabled corporate phones.

This isn't the first time that Amazon has heavily discounted Verizon's phones.  Verizon's Motorola Droid also exhibited a freefall in price after launch on Amazon, where it currently rests at $20.  The Droid Eris is free with a 2 year plan.

Good things come to those who wait.
