Topic A in the blogosphere: An agency wants to suss out paid endorsements on blogs.
Log on to New York food blog AmateurGourmet.com today, and you'll see an advertisement for cookbook publisher Cook's Illustrated, served up by Google's (GOOG) AdSense service.

The U.S Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest not-for-profit commercial federation, representing some 3 million businesses. But it no longer represents Apple Inc. (AAPL).
On Monday, Apple resigned from the Chamber "effective immediately" over the organization's opposition to the Obama administration's environmental policies.
"We strongly object to the Chamber's recent comments opposing the EPA's effort to limit greenhouse gases," wrote Apple government affairs vice-president Catherine Novelli to Tom Donohue, CEO of MORE

Approximately 12% of U.S. computer households own an Apple (AAPL) computer, up from 9% in 2008, according to the results of a survey released Monday morning by the NPD group.
But here's the kicker: the vast majority -- 85% -- also own at least one PC running Microsoft (MSFT) Windows.

The killer quote -- or rather paraphrase -- in Brad Stone and Ashlee Vance's properly skeptical story in Monday's New York Times about the new interest in tablet computing is the one attributed to Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs.
Although he killed the Newton -- Apple's early entry in the field -- when he returned to the company in 1997, Jobs allowed work on a new MORE

Two weeks ago, after Apple (AAPL) hit a 15-month high, we reviewed the price targets set by the major analysts and suggested that it might be time for some of them to take another look at the company.
With Apple's shares trading for nearly $185, we singled out for special attention several analysts who were recommending the stock to clients, but whose targets had fallen 10% to 23% behind the stock's MORE

HP Executive Vice President Vyomesh Joshi isn't as close to Hurd as colleagues Livermore and Bradley are. Photo: HP.
If HP CEO Mark Hurd does merge the PC and printing businesses, what will that mean for printing chief Vyomesh Joshi?
A few months back, I spent some time at Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) headquarters with Joshi, who's known around HP simply as "VJ." We talked about how he led the printing group to MORE

The dispute was over money, and like most civil cases, this one was settled out of court.
After five days of trial in a Detroit federal courthouse, Apple (AAPL) and Eminem's publisher, Eight Mile Style, came to an agreement Thursday night that neither side wants to talk about, according to the Detroit Free Press.
At issue were royalties on 93 songs that Apple has been selling on its MORE
